Atrazine is excreted rapidly from the bodies of animals if exposed to trace amounts in the environment.
Syngenta Responds
Syngenta response to: "The Herbicide Atrazine Activates Endocrine Gene Networks Via Non-Steroidal NR5A Nuclear Receptors in Fish and Mammalian Cells,"
PLoS ONE, 7 May 2008.
Atrazine does not affect wildlife diets, because it does not accumulate in the tissues of insects, fish or other animals which may be food sources in the animal feeding chain.
